Talking about color is like talking about saudade, the universe or sensitivity. Color goes beyond the visual phenomenon: it creates worlds and emotions, and it is essential for designers. However, teaching color is challenging, as each color carries its own meanings, inspiration and tone. The central question is:
How can practical color-exploration exercises stimulate creativity and maximize learning?
The study explores two main themes: color and teaching methods with a playful focus. Inspired by Josef Albers, who advocated teaching through experience, the project culminates in a practical manual to complement the teaching of color and stimulate creative expression. The research seeks to understand in greater depth how visual experiences can enrich the understanding and application of color, promoting a more effective and inspiring education. The manual suggests an engaging approach to turning theory into creativity in graphic design.
