Screen printing
Francisca Rebelo

This personal project is a proposal for a book on screen printing that combines theory with practice and also serves as an archive/catalog of screen-printed works.

The book brings together texts by three authors, and the use of tracing paper expresses an idea of hierarchy: the author who reads best is the most important to the project — here, Silvie Turner.

The book is organized by a CMYK separation, which relates directly to color printing and divides the book into three parts: Prepress, Printing and Postpress.

Inside the book, the images accompany the theoretical parts in order of color layers: at the beginning the works have one or two layers of color, and these increase up to the last work, which has 100 layers of color.
