All For You

All For You — Ana Rita Ribeiro

All For You
Ana Rita Ribeiro

All For You grew out of a personal interest in cataloging packaging, from a fascination with its shapes, graphics and materials. This close observation reveals similar strategies in how packaging communicates with consumers, regardless of brand or product category.

Setting aside the idea of packaging as a mere shell for a product, the publication analyzes and deconstructs its vocabulary, iconography and graphic elements, organizing them to make recurring patterns in its visual language visible.

It is an editorial study of the recurring linguistic and formal mechanisms in consumer-goods communication, and an analysis of how graphic design structures and amplifies these messages on packaging. The book also works as an exercise in visual curation of these objects so present in our daily lives as consumers.
