unfiltered – conversation around the table
Vittoria Lovino

Developed for the Project course (2nd semester), taught by Professor Cristina Ferreira, the project resulted in the book “unfiltered – conversation around the table”. It starts from a central question: to what extent do we remain connected to our family, what unresolved traumas do we carry, and how do we live with them?

The project takes the form of a living book that works as a neutral, safe space. Formally, the layout conveys the time and silence each participant needed to find the words and express themselves honestly. The publication also includes abstract visual works in strong colors, created to translate graphically the emotions the speakers tried to put into words.

Conceptually, the editorial design sets up a participatory platform: readers are invited to occupy the physical space of the page, writing and joining the unfiltered conversations, on the premise of not lying to themselves. Through this formal and expressive approach, the project encourages critical reflection, using graphic design as a social tool to deconstruct taboos and foster authenticity in interpersonal dialogue.
