Transmedia Storytelling and the Audience Experience

Transmedia Storytelling e a Experiência do Público: Relatório de Estágio no Estúdio Nor267
Beatriz Martinez

The report documents the four-month internship at Nor267 — Design and Communication studio and delves into the concept of Transmedia Storytelling, specifically the interactions between multiplatform narratives and audience experience.

The implementation of new technologies in multiplatform projects and the internship experience demonstrate that Transmedia is essential for expanding and creating an emotional connection with the audience. Its success is achieved through narrative cohesion across various communication media, clearly explaining and repeating connections between different platforms, and using appropriate editorial strategies to engage the audience in story-building.

Through applied (mixed) research, descriptive analysis (document review, case study, and data collection), a redesign of the Transmedia project O Destino das Almas was carried out during the internship. O Destino das Almas shows the feasibility of using Transmedia projects as a tool to expand audience experience while avoiding information overload.
