Understanding the origins of these terms and the parts that make up a book is essential for educational purposes, as it allows editorial designers and students who are just beginning their journey, and who are unfamiliar with much of this terminology, to connect with history beyond the traditional analog medium or today\u2019s digital medium, to draw inspiration from its roots and to appreciate the value of their profession.
