What happens when designers stop drawing and the letters start talking? Chaos, wit, and a wall full of typographic stories.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the afternoon in PS45, our studio wall looked like a living dictionary. Words turned into images\u2014CLOCK<\/strong> that actually read<\/em> like time; DISCORD<\/strong> split by the slightest spacing decision; FORBIDDEN<\/strong> reduced to a crisp, legible ban; GATHER<\/strong> compacted into a social mass. Students iterated fast, pinned drafts, argued, refined, and discovered how one clear idea<\/strong>\u2014held steady by typographic discipline\u2014travels further than a dozen clever tricks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Diego, why now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to a very serendipitous opportunity provided by Prof. L\u00edgia Lopes, from the MDIP, we had the opportunity to invite Diego Vainesman<\/a><\/strong> within the context of the Master\u2019s in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects (MDGPE)<\/strong>, articulated with the Ligatures SIG<\/strong>. He has brought a combination of skills and knowledge we value at FBAUP: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
